Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and driven Hospice Marketer to join our team!

 

In this role, you will build meaningful connections with nursing facilities, assisted living communities, physicians, and other referral partners to help patients and families access the care they need.

 

As a Hospice Marketer, you’ll represent our Agency in the community through sales, marketing, and education efforts. You’ll share the story of our services, strengthen relationships with healthcare professionals, and help increase awareness of hospice care. Your work directly supports our mission and helps us reach more families while ensuring compliance with agency policies and healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Helps build collaborative working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Responsible for executing effective sales calls that identify and meet the needs of the referral community and clearly communicate the features and benefits of Immediate Home Health & Hospice. These include pre and post call planning, establishing rapport, effective questioning skills, proposing solutions, handling objections and closing.
  • Successfully executes a weekly, monthly, and quarterly strategy to increase market share through key account development including prospecting/diversification and call frequency/routing. Plans activity to maximize territory coverage of both existing and prospective accounts.
  • Participates in collaborative strategic planning and problem solving as it relates to marketing growth strategies and community education
  • Responsible for achievement of admission goals/expectations as established at hire or at review of annual agency budget goals.
  • Attends staff meetings to give an update regarding accounts, customer needs, and progress towards agency growth strategies.
  • Coordinate in-services with community and medical-based groups to educate them on hospice services on an as needed basis
  • Responsible for checking e-mail daily and responding to phone messages within 24 business hours.
  • Responsible for all sales administration duties including, but not limited to, CRM compliance, expense reports, payroll time sheets, medical director time sheets, strategic territory planner, PTO requests, paperwork (POC) delivery or pick-up when needed.
  • Completes all other projects as assigned by the leadership team.

Qualifications

  • Previous sales/marketing experience, preferably in a hospice or other subset of healthcare. Excellent social and interpersonal skills and knowledge of hospice philosophy. Computer skills are also required.
  • Bachelor’s degree and related healthcare experience and knowledge preferred.
  • Previous sales/marketing experience, preferably in hospice or other healthcare program.
  • Understanding of hospice philosophy and geographical area served.
  • Demonstrated history of positive sales results, and customer relationships that led to outstanding results. Results driven.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to market effectively with customers, referral sources, and the community.
  • Valid driver’s license with maintenance of good driving record and an automobile that is insured and is in good working order
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting.
  • Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations; self-motivated.
