Responsibilities

 

  • Data pipeline management – building data systems and pipelines, combining raw information from multiple sources, identifying opportunities for data acquisition
  • Architecture design – analyzing and organizing raw data using cloud-based tools
  • ELT (extract/load/transform) processes – preparing data for modeling, building algorithms and prototypes, data cleansing
  • Cloud management – work with multiple cloud-based services and tools, as well as hosted cloud providers
  • Data monitoring – ensure data quality, processes, and routines are optimized for performance and efficiency
  • Collaboration – work with data scientists and data analysts on multiple, concurrent projects

Qualifications

 

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Three or more years of experience as a data engineer or similar role
  • Knowledge of cloud-based services and tools (i.e., Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt)
  • Experience with healthcare transaction data sets, including HL-7, FHIR, and the use of APIs
  • Technical expertise with data models, data mining, pipeline construction, process automation, data normalization
  • Knowledge of programming languages (i.e., SQL, Java, Python, JSON)
  • Hands on experience with SQL database design and development
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite, including Microsoft Access
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., PowerBI), data modeling, and data visualization techniques
  • Familiarity with Robotic Process Automation
  • Experience with Mulesoft preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
